Mrs Hunn's Post

The source of our health

In assembly we have talked about how we can become an even healthier school as part of our Comenius project.

I need your ideas and suggestions!

1.How can we make sure children wash their hands before eating?

2.How can we encourage everybody to eat fruit and vegetables every day?

3.What can we do to stop children eating too many sweets?

I look forward to reading your replies!

We could have a rule that everyone must have a piece of fruit or veg to eat in their pack lunch box and we could have special monitors that will check to see they have been eaten.

How about every class has snack time like they do in Reception? It was fun eating fruit together at our colour group tables.

I really like that idea Rory- did you know that we already have some fruit trees in our wildlife garden?see if you can find out how many and wht sort of trees we have already.

Maybe we can plant some more

we could plant trees in school, and we could pick fruit from them and have more fruit in the fruit bowls.

Have a hand washing monitor person,or if you wash your hands you get a house point.

We could do a roll play of dentist/patient and how eating too many sweets means more trips to the dentist. Put posters around the school and bring your tooth brush  to school
